On the farmers markets, one addition: the Citiparks markets are not all the markets in the city or in the county or surrounding area, by a long-shot. There are many more farmers markets, which vary as to when they start-up and what they sell. The Saturday market in East Liberty (across from Home Depot, for instance, is open every Saturday, year round, from 5am - 12 noon. Twelve Farm Stands, run by the Greater Pgh Community Food Bank, will begin in June. For up-to-date schedules, check the Thursday Post-Gazette in the Food Section.
